Our company headquarters in Richmond, BC is responsible for production, sales, and technical support for our customers. We are currently looking for a professional with strong electrical and mechanical skills to join our Production Team as a Product Test Specialist.

Summary:

As a product assembly/test specialist, your duties will involve the manufacturing and testing of leading edge satellite products for military, government, and high-end commercial applications.

Expected Contributions:

  • Working with production documentation like Bill of Materials (BOM’s), and CAD drawings.
  • Working on mechanical, and or electrical assemblies and subassemblies of a satellite terminal.
  • Participating in delivering quality products on-time to our customers.
  • Maximizing and maintaining quality as per the latest production standard, test and BOM accuracy.
  • Assisting in the transfer of designed products to manufacturing.
  • Executing unit level and system level tests.
  • Performing product verification testing of customer product before shipment.
  • Maintaining departmental test equipment and environment.
  • Maintaining records of solutions, set-ups and results.
  • Other important activities will include continuous improvement of our products process through time and cost reduction.

Education and Level of Overall Experience:

  • Diploma/Degree in Electronics/Electrical Technology Program
  • Minimum of 1 year experience
  • Knowledge in production documentation and mechanical and electrical assemblies
  • Knowledge in electrical components, ESD control
  • Knowledge in detailed assembly and integration procedures
  • Appreciation of production systems including MRP, ECOs, inventory transactions including cycle count to maintain accuracy
  • Experience in LabView Program would be an asset
  • Technical training in electronics or mechanics and computer applications would be an asset
