Equipment Rental Packages
Norsat’s rental fleet of portable satellite terminals is ideally suited for short notice deployments. Daily, weekly, and monthly rental rates are available, as well as several lease-to-own options.
Broadcast PackageThe Basic Broadcast Package features the 40 Watt Ku-Extended Band (13.75 - 14.5 GHZ) NewsLink™ Portable Terminal with SD MPEG2 DVBS Encoder/Modulator. The NewsLink's 1.0m high performance diamond shaped antenna consists of 4 carbon fiber segments and performs as well as most 1.2m antennas. Customer-supplied encoder/modulators can be connected to the system via the 70 MHz loop located on the system's indoor unit. The NewsLink™ terminal is also available with an 80 Watt HD MPEG 4 DVBS2 Encoder/Modulator kit. |

Data PackageThe Data Package features the 40 Watt Ku-Band Rover™ Ultra Portable Terminal. The Rover's 1.0m antenna consists of 6 carbon fiber segments. The Data Package includes a compact indoor unit (CIDU) with laptop controller, LinkControl software, and satellite acquisition tools. Customers may supply a custom modem or select from various modem configurations offered by Norsat. |

Higher Data Rate PackageFor situations that require higher data rates, the Higher Data Rate Package features a 1.8m and 2.4m SigmaLink™ Portable Terminal in both C-Band and Ku-Band frequencies. The SigmaLink™ antenna consists of 4 fiber-reinforced segments. The Higher Data Rate Package includes a compact indoor unit with laptop controller, LinkControl software, and satellite acquisition tools. Customers may supply a custom modem or select from various modem configurations offered by Norsat. An SD and or HD signal news gathering kit is also available. |
