This year’s IWCE was a very exciting show for Sinclair as we launched a new product series called the Aurora SC, attended the conference and had two of our technical experts speak on panels, AND we even revamped the booth with a brand new display! We’re exhausted from the show but the buzz and excitement still hasn’t stopped. Keep reading for our highlights of the IWCE show!
New Product Launch:
Sinclair launched the new Aurora SC series of collinear antennas for the public safety sector at IWCE and it was a hit! The new antenna series attracted a variety of new customers to the booth and were very popular among existing customers. The feedback we received was extremely positive. Customers pointed out that the key benefits were its wide bandwidth, stable radiation patterns, and overall better RF performance. Customers were also very impressed with the small size of the new antenna. Even with its short length and light weight, the Aurora SC series are rugged and offer protection from extreme weather such as wind and lightning. Trade Show and Conference:
Usually held in Las Vegas, this year’s IWCE show was in Orlando, Florida, offering new scenery to the 41-year-old convention and exhibition. The attendance was great and there was lots of traffic at the Sinclair booth (even times where the groups spilled into the aisle). Many of the guests were from the US, the CALA region, and Canada. It was great to see our representatives and distributors at the show such as Tessco, Talley, Mobile Trends, and Waverunner Communications.
The most-talked about trends at IWCE were IoT, FirstNet, network monitoring, and radio networks. IoT was the hottest trend on the market with law makers and certification bodies being heavily involved. Two of Sinclair’s technical experts, Michael Macki and Jim Reville, participated in this year’s conference as panelists on two technical sessions. Michael Macki presented at the IoT, M2M, and Sensors Primer (M116) session on the Monday morning and Jim Reville presented at the Planning a New or Upgraded Radio System (T217) session on the Tuesday morning. Both sessions were great and were very useful. We were glad to see that Sinclair was very well-represented at the IWCE conference.
New Booth Design:
This year, we decided to go with a new and modern look with the booth designing a concept that was on-brand and classic. Check out the photos below to see our new booth design:
