Sahara has ordered the Norsat NewsLink portable terminal to transmit studio-quality video content live from the site of breaking stories.
Tanzania-based Sahara Communications and Publishing offers radio, Internet and television services; and is the parent of Star Television, a national television station.
The Norsat NewsLinkTM enables broadcast quality video in a compact, portable satellite terminal. The terminal supports industry standard MPEG-2/DVB-S encoding and is built to survive harsh conditions similar to those found in Tanzania.
